Our cabinet contains the source formulations of Juvéderm and Botox, sourced through certified European supply, because the molecular structure of a filler determines how it behaves in the years that follow.
A successful treatment is one your friends never identify as a treatment at all, and we are proud of the appointments we have declined because the procedure did not suit the face in front of us.
The ultrasound screen shows the vasculature and the tissue layers in real time, so the doctor sees what would otherwise be invisible to a needle approaching the skin from above.
Each filler is placed in the exact layer where it belongs, neither superficially close to a vessel nor too deep against the bone, which is the difference between a result that looks composed and one that looks corrected.

Aēstec was founded on the Zuidas in Amsterdam, by a group of doctors who shared a frustration with how aesthetic medicine was being practised in their city, and a quiet conviction that the discipline deserved a more considered approach.
Over the years, the clinic grew into a second location in Rotterdam and a reputation for declining as many treatments as it performed, because the doctors had decided early on that authority is built by refusal as much as by action, and that a face is not a canvas to be filled but a structure to be read.
More recently, the practice opened its first clinic outside Europe, with the same protocols, the same products, and several of the same doctors who began the work in Amsterdam.

An ultrasound device is placed against the skin before and during the treatment, showing the doctor the precise location of the vessels, the depth of the tissue layers, and the structure beneath the surface in real time. This allows each filler to be placed in the exact layer where it belongs, and well away from the vessels that should never be touched.
Allergan manufactures the original formulations of Juvéderm and Botox, and these are the products with the longest body of clinical research behind them. Many alternatives copy the chemistry but not the molecular structure, and that structure determines how a filler behaves over the years that follow the treatment.
Hyaluronic acid fillers placed with the protocols we use typically last between eighteen and twenty-four months, after which a small touch-up with a fraction of the original quantity is sufficient to maintain the result. Muscle relaxers last three to four months and are usually refreshed two to three times a year.
The consultation lasts approximately forty-five minutes, during which the doctor will read your face, listen carefully to what you would like to change, and explain what is possible and what is not. No treatment is performed on the day of the consultation, so that you have time between the conversation and the procedure to consider the recommendation.
Sometimes the treatment a patient asks for will not suit their face, will not deliver the result they imagine, or will set them on a path of repeated corrections that would have been avoided by saying no the first time. In those situations our doctors will say so clearly during the consultation, and there is no charge for that conversation.
Pricing is shared openly during the consultation and is structured per treatment rather than per syringe, because the goal of the appointment is the result rather than the volume of product used.
